A woman was the victim of a residential robbery that occurred in the 300 block of California Street on Thursday, November 18, 2010. The event began at about 10:00 am when the woman, a housekeeper, answered the residence door to a man that she believed was a delivery person. The male suspect pointed a handgun at the victim, bound her hands with duct tape, and lead her to a room inside the residence. The suspect was joined by a second male and the pair ransacked the location. The victim did not see the suspects leave but waited for a period of time and was then able to free her hands. The victim called her employer who in turn notified APD at about 11:00 am.
The victim described the first suspect as a male Hispanic, 40 years old, average height and weight, poor complexion, moles and acne (blackheads), wearing a dark baseball cap, long-sleeve white shirt, armed with a silver semi-auto handgun. The second suspect was only described as a male Hispanic. Both suspects spoke only Spanish during the robbery.
The victim suffered bruising on her wrists during the crime but did not require medical attention. The suspects made off with a safe, jewelry, and watches.
