Fire Leads to Marijuana Grow Location

Incident: Cultivation of Marijuana
   
On Friday, January 23, 2016, at approximately 12:00 A.M., the Arcadia Police Department responded to a Fire Assist call in the 1000 block of South Fourth Avenue in the City of Arcadia. The Arcadia Fire Department personnel responded and observed numerous marijuana plants in different stages of cultivation as well as equipment used for cultivation purposes and contacted the police department.  The residence was unoccupied at the time of the fire.   

Officers remained on-scene and contacted members of the Detective Bureau for further investigation.  Detectives collected approximately 700 marijuana plants and no arrests have been made at the time of this release.
