Incident: Robbery

Date and Time of Release: March 14, 2012 / 3:30PM

On March 14, 2012, at approximately 12:30 PM, calls were received by the Arcadia Police Department via the 911 system reporting a possible auto burglary that just took place in the parking lot of a business complex located at 411 East Huntington Drive. The callers reported that three male subjects were seen breaking a window of a vehicle. When the officers arrived at the location, it was determined that a robbery had taken place.

The initial investigation revealed that three male suspects wearing dark-colored sweatshirts with hoods approached a vehicle in the parking lot and used an object that resembled a crowbar to smash out the windows occupied by a driver and a passenger. One of the suspects then took a bag out of the vehicle through the window. The suspects then fled in a silver or white vehicle, possibly a Honda or a Toyota product, with a paper dealer plate. The last known direction of travel is not known at this time. A check of the immediate areas did not locate the suspects or their vehicle. The victims suffered minor injuries.

The victims were reported to be jewelry couriers and the loss is being withheld at this time while further investigation is being conducted by the Arcadia Police Department Detective Bureau. Anyone with information is asked to call the Arcadia Police Department at 626-574-5150.
