Robbery Victims Returning from Highland Casino Confronted in Garage

Two women returned to an Arcadia home early this morning from the San Manuel Casino in Highland and were confronted inside the garage by two suspects. One suspect threatened the women with a knife while the second suspect took a purse and cash from inside the victim's car.

The crime occurred this morning shortly after 3:00 a.m. in the 200 block of El Dorado Street in Arcadia.

The victims described the first suspect as a male, African-American, 25-35 years old, 5'-07"/180 lbs.  The second suspect was described as a male, Hispanic, also 25-30 years old, 6'00"/200 lbs., with black hair. The suspects drove away eastbound on El Dorado in a copper colored, 2-door, Honda Accord.

This case is a good reminder for everyone to "check your mirrors" and to be aware of your surroundings at all times.  If you happen to see, or suspect, someone is following you, call 9-1-1 and report what is happening to law enforcement.  Continue driving until told otherwise by a Dispatcher.  If you stop, make sure the location is well lighted and very public, like an open convenience store, open gas station, or preferably, a local police or sheriff's station.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Arcadia Police Department at 626.574.5150.  You can also submit anonymous tips and information via text, phone, or web to LA Regional Crime Stoppers, at 800.222.TIPS (8477), or texting "TIPLA"to CRIMES (274637), or by clicking the tip button on the Blog sidebar.  Reference APD case #13-4875.
