Attempted Bank Robbery



Arcadia Police Officers were called to the Citibank located at 100 South First Avenue, Arcadia, shortly before 1:30 p.m. on Monday, June 3, 2013, regarding an attempted robbery.

A lone male suspect entered the bank at about 1:21 p.m. and approached a teller. The suspect showed the teller a small black case which he said contained a bomb. The suspect demanded money and said the device would detonate if the teller did not comply. The teller said the suspect grew impatient and appeared nervous, leaving the location on foot before taking any cash. The suspect was in the bank for only a few minutes.

The suspect is described as a male Caucasian, 23-30 years old, brown hair, about 5’-06”, 160 lbs, wearing a red long sleeve sweater and tan baggy shorts.
