Four young men and women graduated from the San Gabriel Valley Law Enforcement Explorer Academy yesterday, becoming members of Arcadia PD's Law Enforcement Explorer Post #101. The Explorer academy is a shortened version of a Police/Sheriff Academy class, geared toward introducing young people to the career of law enforcement.
Retired APD Chief Bob Sanderson, pictured with each of the Explorers, has been and continues to be a key member of the SGV Academy, mentoring and influencing countless young people over the years. Pictured clockwise from top left are: Nick Marshall, Yulissa Hernandez, Ryan Harada, and Simran Gurayia. Explorer Marshall was awarded the 2nd Place trophy for his Academy Notebook.
