Dylan Morris was the recipient of the 2016 Friends of the Arcadia Historical Society's, Lieutenant Ed Ostashay Scholarship. Dylan is also an APD Police Explorer and is planning on attending Cal State Fullerton. This scholarship is in honor of retired APD Lieutenant Ed Ostashay who passed away in 2013. Ed was an avid classic car enthusiast and worked to obtain the restored APD unit, maintained by the Historical Society.
Annika Lile was the recipient of the 2016 Arcadia Police Officers' Association, Officer Albert E. Matthies Memorial Scholarship. Annika plans on attending Pepperdine University. This scholarship is in honor of APD Officer Albert Matthies who was killed in the line of duty in 1927. Officer Matthies remains the only Arcadia Police Officer killed in the line of duty in the Department's history.
Detective Jeff Stark is APD's School Resource Officer and is pictured with both students. Arcadia Historical Society's 2nd Vice President, Beverly Street, is pictured with Dylan and Detective Stark.
