WANTED for Grand Theft
Female, possibly Hispanic, 5'-04"/140-150 lbs, dark straight hair.
Last Wednesday, March 16, 2010, a woman was shopping at the Pavilions Market, 745 W. Naomi, Arcadia. When the victim went to pay for her groceries, her wallet was missing from her purse. At some point while shopping, someone removed the wallet from the victim's purse, which had been placed in a baby seat attached to the shopping cart. The theft of the wallet occurred sometime between 6:30-7:30 p.m.
Within an hour, the victim learned that her stolen credit cards were being used at the Westfield Santa Anita Mall, 400 S. Baldwin, Arcadia, to make purchases at two locations, to include Nordstrom & Daniel's Jewelers. The suspect using the stolen credit cards is shown above in a photograph from Nordstrom's security cameras. It is possible that the stolen cards were used at additional local locations and the investigation is continuing.
Anyone with information is asked to call Arcadia Police Detectives at 626-574-5160. You can also submit crime tips and information via text, phone, or web to LA Regional Crime Stoppers, 800-222-TIPS (8477), or by clicking on the "Submit a Tip" button on the APD Blog side bar.
